Austin’s Post-Construction Window Cleaning, From Final Dust to Opening Day
Glass is usually one of the last things anyone looks at on a build and one of the first things a customer, tenant or inspector notices. By the end of a project, every pane has been through framing, drywall, paint, flooring and landscaping. Fine dust settles on the outside glass and drifts onto the inside of every window. Leaving it for the first routine cleaning means opening day happens behind a haze.
Casa Care Window Cleaning handles the one-time clean that gets the windows ready: interior and exterior glass, plus the frames, sills and tracks around it. Outside, glass is scrubbed with a soft brush on a pole fed with purified, deionized water, which dries without spots and doesn’t need harsh chemicals. Inside, glass is cleaned by hand. Higher glass on low- and mid-rise buildings is reached with lifts, so the whole building gets cleaned, not just the floors you can reach from the sidewalk. Paint specks, stucco and mortar splatter, and manufacturer stickers come off the glass, and the tracks are cleaned out, so the windows are ready for opening day.
Casa Care is #1 Rated, with 5.0 stars across 208 Google reviews, 1,500+ properties serviced, 3 years in the business and $2M in liability coverage.

Why technique matters on new glass
Construction grit is abrasive, so dry-wiping or scrubbing a dusty pane can scratch it. Outside, we flood the glass with purified water while a soft brush lifts the dust, and the rinse carries it off the pane instead of across it.
Why do new buildings in the Austin area need more than one rinse?
The building isn’t the only source of dust. On top of what the job site leaves behind, Central Texas adds three of its own:
Pollen
Mountain cedar pollen coats glass from December through February, and oak pollen follows in March and April. A project finishing in either window will have a yellow-green film on top of the construction dust.
Summer dust and spotting
Summer brings dust, storm splash on the lower panes and irrigation spotting that the heat bakes onto the glass. That’s especially true around brand-new landscaping.
Neighboring construction
Lots next to an active site keep collecting dust after your own build wraps up. If your opening is weeks away, it can make sense to time the clean close to the date.
Purified water handles all three without leaving its own spots behind. Our guide to removing hard-water stains from windows explains why sprinkler spots should come off early, before they can etch the glass.
How should a site get ready for the final window clean?
The cleaner the rest of the site is, the longer the windows stay clean. A few things help:
Schedule it last
Book the window clean after the dusty trades are done: drywall, sanding, painting, flooring and exterior finishes. Glass cleaned before then usually needs cleaning again.
Clear the access
Interior sills and the floor in front of the windows should be reachable. Outside, we need access to every elevation, including room to place a lift where one is needed. If a lift is needed, we can arrange one or use the general contractor’s lift.
Tell us about the glass
Mention specialty glass, tinted or coated panes, glass railings, skylights or anything recently sealed, so the crew plans the right method.
Name an on-site contact
One person who can let the crew in and walk the building at the end.

Free custom quote Up front
Request a quote with our free quote form or call or text (512) 522-4985. Tell us the building type, the number of floors, what’s on the glass and your target date. Every property is quoted individually, and you get a firm number up front.
Confirmation Before the visit
An email confirmation goes out before the visit with the date and time window.
Arrival and check-in On site
Uniformed, background-checked technicians check in with your on-site contact.
Exterior glass Poles & lifts
Water-fed poles with purified water scrub and rinse the outside glass, and lifts are used for higher glass on low- and mid-rise buildings. When a window needs a ladder, we set it on the property, never against the glass.
Interior glass, frames, sills and tracks Inside
Inside, the glass is cleaned by hand, the frames and sills are wiped down and the tracks are cleaned out. Paint, stucco, mortar and stickers come off the glass, so every pane is clear for opening day.
Walkthrough and invoice Before we leave
We check in with your contact, fix anything that needs a second look before the crew leaves, and send a digital invoice by text or email.

Condition
How much construction dust and other residue is on the glass. Residue removal is included in the price.

One-time or ongoing
Most post-construction cleans are one-time. If you want regular service afterward, it’s quoted on the schedule you choose.

Who is Casa Care?
Ethan Gibbs started Casa Care Window Cleaning to earn back respect for the blue-collar trades, with crews that show up on time and in uniform and treat your property, your tenants and your customers with respect. Three years in, Casa Care has served 1,500+ properties and holds a 5.0 rating across 208 Google reviews.
What happens to the windows after opening day?
A post-construction clean is usually a one-time job. After that, the glass gets ordinary wear: fingerprints on the doors, street dust, pollen and sprinkler spots. If you’d like Casa Care to keep it up, commercial window cleaning is available on a regular schedule:
- Storefronts and restaurantsWeekly to biweekly
- Offices and most other buildingsMonthly to quarterly
Recurring service is optional and quoted separately.
Which buildings do you clean after construction?
Any commercial building except a high-rise: storefronts and retail strips, restaurants, offices, medical and professional buildings, schools, apartment and HOA amenity buildings, and industrial offices. We reach glass as high as the building needs, using water-fed poles from the ground and lifts on low- and mid-rise buildings. We don’t take on high-rise buildings. If any part of your building looks hard to reach, we’ll talk it through during the quote.
Service area: Austin, West Lake Hills, Rollingwood, Lakeway, Bee Cave, Pflugerville, Cedar Park and Round Rock.
